How it Works

  • Choose an appointment time from our online schedule. Be sure that you will be in the state of Oregon at the time of your visit.

  • Pay for your appointment using a credit card.

  • You will receive a confirmation email with a link to your visit. Click the link at the visit time to join the telehealth visit.

  • Any prescriptions will be sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice.

  • Lab tests (if necessary) will be arranged at a location convenient to you.

About Insurance

To keep the focus on our patients instead of on insurance rules, Menopause Northwest does not bill insurance at this time. Every patient will pre-pay for their visit with a credit or debit card. We are not in-network with any insurance plans, however, the healthcare that you receive outside of your visit (labs, medications) is generally still covered by most insurances. Call your insurance if you are not sure about this.

If you have Medicare insurance, we are unable to see you. We do not accept Medicare insurance, and Medicare rules prohibit us from seeing you for a cash pay visit. This is a Medicare safeguard designed to protect patients, but it is limiting in situations like these.

If you have other health insurance, your visit may still quality for your health coverage under your out-of-network benefits. If you want to use your out-of-network insurance benefits, you will still prepay for your visit. Any lab tests or medications will be covered according to your insurance rules and you will pay the lab or pharmacy directly. After our visit you will receive a receipt detailing our services (in health care this is known as a “Superbill”) which can be submitted to your insurance. Please contact your insurance to learn about your specific coverage. You may also use your Superbill as proof of payment for a Flexible Spending Account.
